Her level of expertise all while tailoring the menu to our liking and remaining available for a weekend tasting – even with her insanely busy schedule – did not go unnoticed. Our venue turned out to be smaller than I thought, but that didn’t stop Marylyn from doing the most. Did I mention this was a gay wedding, hosted by the brides who knew nothing of weddings? Marylyn was so respectful and catered exactly to our needs, everything from budget to schedule to even hosting responsibilities. The food was amazing (everybody raved about the duck breast that was on the menu), the setup went incredibly smooth (again, she worked with a small Brooklyn venue) and everything was beautiful. We had an extremely personalized experience for our wedding, down to a menu that was built from scratch to fit our budget’s needs and express who we are as a couple, to an individualized tasting with Marilyn that left us so excited for the final meal, to the day of, where Marylyn and her team were so on top of everything, and our guests wouldn’t stop raving about the food! We had a brunch style wedding, so when people are raving about smoked salmon and brioche French toast, I can’t imagine how divine a a full sit-down dinner would taste! “Marylyn catered our wedding at The Barn at Orchard Hill Estate in Harriman, NY. The food and venue were amazing! Our guest list included quite a few world-traveling foodies. They repeatedly commented how delicious the food was. Our 3 main dishes were: -Poached salmon with a dill crema sauce on the side, -Marinated and Grilled Beef Tenderloin w/Horseradish Crema on the Side -Roasted Chicken w/White Wine/Thyme/Garlic and Lemon We had guests whose preference ranged from rare to well done. The marinated steak was cooked perfectly for each of them. All 3 dishes were a hit and were made to perfection to satisfy everyones’ palate. Marylyn was an absolute joy and easy to work with.
