“Marylyn was more like a full-service event planner, as she took the time to get to know both my husband and I, as well as our full plan for our wedding day. She invited us into her home for a tasting, where she also took the time to get to know us, how we met, our families, and how we envisioned our wedding day to play out. Throughout the planning process, she worked with the company we planned rentals from, including the tents, tables, chairs, linens, appliances, etc., and she triple-checked all items to ensure every detail matched our vision for our wedding. She asked just about every question imaginable, and helped make sure we weren’t missing any important area/item. Her incredible organization, communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail aside (!!!), the food that was served on our wedding day was the true stand-out. Just wow! We chose five passed appetizers; roasted chicken and eggplant parmesan for the two mains; as well as a host of side dishes; and everything was absolutely delicious. My guests are still raving about how amazing everything tasted! By working with Marylyn, I felt such a calm in my heart, knowing that she would take care of everything and ensure our wedding reception was flawless. Marylyn took us under her wing and made sure that every detail was thought out and perfectly planned! Her communication was superb, and she is just the sweetest, most professional person we could’ve found to work with. We needed to stay within a budget, but wanted an impressive and gourmet menu – she helped us to do just that. She was always available by email or phone anytime we had questions or concerns. She helped us to coordinate with the tent rental company and kept things moving along smoothly. “The staff was professional, courteous, and most importantly fun. They danced behind the bar and buffets and were quick to help out and were just a gracious and kind staff. The food was INCREDIBLE. We’ve had so many guests tell us about how delicious the food was after the fact. Everyone knows that wedding food can be hit or miss. Even a stamp of approval from the head matriarch of the wedding (grandma)!! They were also prepared to deal with anything thrown at them on day of the wedding… eg. parking debacles, cake stand malfunctions and some other issues that arose. Marylyn was also one of the very few vendors that was willing to work with us within our budget, for which we are incredibly grateful, especially considering that we got married near Times Square on New Year’s Eve!!! We could not have done it without her as our caterer!!”
